So..the sound quality is superb, near 10 pts to me.A killer set. The last tour of the band, before the split (and the creation of the other monsters!).
Highly recommended for all. Yeah... almost forgot the amazing 12 minutes version of "I m a man", really great. The band at their best!
The Yardbirds unfortunately soon disintegrated once they could no longer attain commercial success. Relf and McCarthy formed Together and then the excellent Renaissance.
Dreja became a photographer and Page was left to form the enormously successful Led Zeppelin, who were originally, for a very short while, known as The New Yardbirds. Disastrously Relf died in 1976 after electrocuting himself at his home.

What a great group with 3 of the greatest guitarists of UK.I think this is the album with a bird on the cover?.Last year on the net I remember a Led Zeppelin blogg with a concert of the Yardbirds at the Fillmore but the link was dead and never reposted.Have you this concert Pablo?.

It was called London Blues and it is billed as the New Yardbirds but it is absolutely the Early stages of Led Zeppelin

Thanks Pablo and Bill for informations.Yardbirds played Fillmore 25,26,27 July 1967 and 23,24,25 May 1968(dates from booklet of"Fillmore the last days").I remember on the Led Zeppelin blog(I don't remember his name) the link for the New Yardbirds concert and the other for the Yardbirds concert at Fillmore(but don't remember the date).I'm looking for the concert of the Yardbirds at the Fillmore.

Destaca para mí "Youre a Better Man..." canción memorable con numerosas versiones pero cito una la de los Sham 69 (1979)very very good.También I'm A Man(Diddley)es una pasada. The NEW YARDBIRDS never really existed!
According to a long and detailed article on the Page-era Yardbirds (UGLY THINGS 2002)when the soon-to-be Led Zeppelin toured Europe in Sept 1968, they did so as simply the Yardbirds.
There is a picture from a Swedish newspaper showing the band (Page, Plant, Jones and Bonham)as..THE YARDBIRDS!
Apparently they were only billed once or twice as such but never called themselves the New Yardbirds...(yet both Page and Plant have been referring to the New Yardbirds in interviews...)
After this great gig the Yardbirds recorded some interesting stuff in NYC...there was a CD that came out with those unreleased recordings, CUMULAR LIMIT...
Maybe somebody could post that...

Hello,,finally great to get this lp.Yes it is the one with the bird on the cover.Now I know why this keeps on getting stopped by JP right before its release on cd,,twice now,if I remember correctly,,his playing on this show totally outshines any live performance that was ever done by his other band.Mister your a better man and I'm a Man are on fire!!!He never had this kind of band interplay with the Zep the way he does here.His connection with K.Relf is incredible,,it makes his live days with Zep boring when compared to this,,,I do think the audience is mixed alittle too forward and at times sounds fake(this is the only thing I didnt like),,,Mr.Beat!
