First time reissue of ultra rare 1966 Midwest twin blast garage masterpiece! Real gone purple vinyl!
Hard as it may be to believe, there apparently were at least three bands in the 1960's known by the name Mogen David & The Grapes of Wrath. There was a band using that moniker in the Detroit area; another from Barrington, Illinois; and one from Kokomo, Indiana. The Kokomo group is the band most commonly associated with the name, as they are the band that laid down the killer single Little Girl Gone and Don't Want You No More on the Cha Cha label.
Ultra rare stuff, with great artwork included, you must hear this one. For those who want something really rare and the 60s garage-collectors.

too bad their isn't more ... but this is good stuff. Can't imaging 3 different bands naming themselves the same ... oh well, this one is worth discovering. thanks.
on a different note - i discovered a different E-Type "album" on LostinTime blog .... it's side one with E-Types (singles) and side two with Mystic Tide ... maybe you know of it already, but if not - the new Lost-In-Time is where to find it if interested. it's under blog section, psyche/garage/folk.

The info on the Detroit-area band: I did an article for Goldmine circa 2000, and talked with many musicians, incl. Al Hafeli, who had been guitarists for The Rainy Days ("I Can Only Give You Everything"). He said that his band was going to release their first single under that name, then found out about a Chicago-area band of the same name. So they used The Rainy Days, but apparently found later that they could have actually used the original name, but the new name was already in place. I think the article quotes him on this. Their third single remains unreleased, but the master may be long gone. Would love to see their Swingin' Time appearances!
